The concept of Laborhutt first came when Jordan Sakala, CEO and founder, was a college student struggling to furnish his apartment. At that time, his financial situation didn't allow him to hire movers, and renting a U-Haul seemed too inconvenient. It was then that by luck he stumbled upon a neighbor with a pickup truck who agreed to help him bring his furniture to his apartment. Realizing that there are more people out there who are looking for affordability and convenience, he decided to start Laborhutt.
Our mission is to connect you with your community and neighbors. In your local area, there are numerous individuals with pickup trucks, vans, or light commercial vehicles. Moreover, there are even more people with smaller cars who could benefit from a larger vehicle and an extra pair of hands to transport items such as a 75-inch TV from Costco or a couch from Facebook Marketplace to their homes. Our platform enables you to connect with these individuals, offering a more cost-effective alternative to renting a truck or U-Haul.
