Peloton bikes If you're looking for DIY option, its best to dismantle the bike then move them piece by piece.

Depends where you are in New York. If you're in Manhattan, it ranges from $150 to $300. This is due to the fact that Manhattan has congestion tax and movers usually come from Brooklyn/Bronx, so those tolls add up. If you're outside Manhttan, it should no more than $220.

Top Answer
Yes, if you're unable to assist. Movers aren't packers, so they may charge extra for the service.

Depending on which company you go with. Traditional movers typically charge by the hour, while platforms like Laborhutt charge flat rate. If you are looking for certainty on what your final cost will be, Laborhutt would be a good choice.

You can find same day movers in New York, but prices will be more on the high-end for same day. Where is the drop-off location?

Top Answer
This depends entirely on the mover. Generally, you should ask the mover if they are able to help disconnect/reconnect the washer/dryer before the move occurs so you know exactly what to expect.

If you're moving a heavy sectional, it depends on the dimensions of the piece. At minimum, two movers would be required to move a heavy sectional, but depending on the weight and size, three movers would be better suited.

Some buildings, especially in Manhattan, require a COI before moving in. They also have dedicated time slots for noise control. Call the front desk for specifics.

Most moving companies in NYC charge between $100-200 an hour. Usually, there's a minimum hour requirement as well. Due to the stairs involved, this job could easily be between $200-400.

Are there any stairs to be aware of? Can the frame be folded or disassembled?

Hi Alex, it depends on what you need help moving. For long distance moves (cross-country), 3-4 weeks in advance will be sufficient. If you you need to move stage units, furniture, or such items, a few days should suffice.
Top Answer
This entirely depends on the mover, but most movers on Laborhutt in the NYC area come prepared with necessary equipment like dollies and straps.

I've done this before. Be prepared to lift heavy, as the bike is 140 lbs. First, disconnect the touchscreen if your bike has one. Go ahead and lift it up from the rear and place the weight on the front wheels. This allows you to wheel it around. However, the challenge occurs when you need to carry down the stairs. You will need two people for this job. Make sure one person lifts from the front, and one person lifts from the rear. When moving down the stairs, ensure the front of the bike is always pointed downwards since that's the heaviest part.

2 movers should be fine for a sofa like that, especially since you’ve got stairs on the drop-off side. Distance between the two places matters a lot—if it’s more than a few miles most crews have a 2-hour minimum, so the quote will reflect travel time too.
Top Answer
I’d plan for 2 movers and a truck for that load. If there are stairs or long carries, 3 movers is helpful. Big things to confirm: stairs/elevator at both places, whether someone can disconnect/reconnect the washer/dryer, and if the building needs a COI. Most movers charge by time with a 2-hour minimum.

is it heavy?
Top Answer
2 movers minimum. If it’s a heavier sectional or the stair turns are tight, 3 movers is safer. In SF the cost depends on neighborhoods/parking and most movers have a minimum time, so the quote will reflect that too.
